Non-evangelical churches
A former student of mine moved up to New Jersey recently. she emailed me to ask what a “non-evangelical” church believes. I asked her if they actually had that in the title of their church name or if they are just referred to as that. She said they go by that title.
I told her, “Non-evangelical probably means one of two things: 1) they believe everyone is going to heaven or that everyone is predestined to heaven or hell so it does not matter, so they don’t worry about telling people about Jesus, or 2) they only focus on liturgical (scripted) worship and don’t worry about people’s individual salvation.”
She’s going to find out more about their beliefs for me. Very curious.
I guess they don’t have Matthew 28:18-20 in their Bibles.
