Sad But Glad
I got a call last night from a couple who has been an integral part of Oak Leaf since the beginning. I knew something was up when I answered the phone and both of them were on the line. They have been sensing for some time that God may be leading them away from Oak Leaf to go help another church thrive and grow.
I am sad for Oak Leaf because they are such hard working, selfless volunteers, but I’m glad for the church that gets them. They are wonderful people. I will name them and celebrate them and their contributions in a post a couple of weeks from now, but for now, they have not told everyone they want to tell the news to personally and I don’t want to break the news for them in my blog.
